Packing Of Stonelove Sculpture.

 

Stonelove have years of experience of packing and shipping stone sculpture. We carefully custom pack each sculpture ensuring it always arrives undamaged to the customer. We employ various tecniques when packing the stone sculpture to eliminate any chance of damage. 

The sculpture is wrapped in plastic and foam sheets then individually packed inside a custom built wood box or crate. The base of this crate has attached rubber to absorb shock. Wood blocks are used inside the crate to support sculpture and eliminate any movement of sculpture. Metal bands are wrapped around the wood crate for strength. For very fragile sculpture, expanding foam is used inside the wood crate, encasing the sculpture in a protective shell.

Crate built around sculpture 

1. Rubber is nailed to base of wood crate as a shock absorber.

2. The enormous sculpture is strategically laid on support blocks on crate.

3. The statue is wrapped in plastic and foam wrapping.

4. The wooden crate is built around the wood sculpture.

5. The sides of crate are sealed and interior is packed with polystryrene.

6. Expanding foam encases the sculpture in a protective shell.
